Ballantyne families weighing International Baccalaureate, STEM or early college programs can explore their options in person at the Charlotte Convention Center on Saturday, Nov. 14.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools is hosting its third annual Endless Possibilities Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., according to announcements posted by Community House Middle School, Ardrey Kell High School, Ballantyne Ridge High School and Ballantyne Elementary School.

The district describes the event as a hands-on experience where families can meet school and program representatives and ask questions about specific offerings.

Programs on display will include IB, computer science, STEM, STEAM, the arts, world languages, Montessori and early college pathways. CMS students also have access to more than 30 Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways, which can lead to job shadowing, internships, early college credit and industry certifications, according to the district.

Four Ballantyne-area schools are promoting the event: Community House Middle, which serves about 1,425 students in grades six through eight; Ardrey Kell High School; Ballantyne Ridge High School; and Ballantyne Elementary.

The fair comes ahead of the next school choice lottery cycle. Last year's application window for the 2026-27 cycle ran from Oct. 13 through Dec. 5, 2025, according to the CMS key dates page. The district has not yet posted application dates for the 2027-28 cycle. Families who attend the fair can use what they learn to narrow their choices before that window opens.

Beyond the fair, CMS offers open houses, school tours and information sessions at individual schools throughout the application season, according to the district's school choice page. Those smaller events let families visit specific campuses and talk with staff.

No registration requirement is listed in the district's announcements. The fair runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Charlotte Convention Center on Nov. 14.
