All 12 Ballantyne-area restaurants inspected the week of Sept. 3–9 earned A grades from Mecklenburg County Public Health, with scores ranging from 92 to a perfect 100.
The Starbucks inside Target at 9870 Rea Road posted the top score of 100, the South Charlotte Weekly reported Thursday, Sept. 10. The standalone Starbucks at 5361 Ballantyne Commons Parkway followed at 99.5.

Nothing But Noodles on Rea Road had the lowest score at 92, and McAlister's Deli scored 93.5. Both still cleared the A-grade threshold. In North Carolina, restaurants scoring 90 or above receive an A and those between 80 and 89.5 receive a B, according to the Mecklenburg County inspection database. Any score below 70 triggers an immediate permit revocation, according to the Charlotte Observer.
The all-A week follows a lower mark for one Ballantyne Village neighbor. Imperial Treasure Ballantyne at 14815 Ballantyne Village Way scored an 88 on Aug. 31 and was placed under immediate suspension until repairs were made, the Observer reported. That restaurant did not appear in the Sept. 3–9 results.
