Chipotle Mexican Grill on Pineville-Matthews Road earned a perfect 100 in Mecklenburg County health inspections for the week of Sept. 10–16.

The score was the highest among 12 restaurants in the 28277 zip code checked during the cycle, according to data published by the South Charlotte Weekly. Every restaurant received an A grade, meaning a score of 90 or above.

No restaurant scored below 90.

Bad Daddy's Burger Bar at 15105 John J. Delaney Drive scored 91. That marks a rebound from an 85 the restaurant received on Aug. 26, its first B grade. The Charlotte Observer reported violations that included improperly stored raw meat, incorrect cold-holding temperatures, late food time stamps, fruit flies and food residue.

Nora Mac's Traditional Irish Pub at 11318 N. Community House Road also scored 91. La Victoria at 16139 Lancaster Highway came in at 90.5, the lowest score in the batch.

Four spots earned 98.5: Harris Teeter's produce section at 16625 Lancaster Highway, Palm Berries at 16631 Lancaster Highway, Pio Chicken at 9816 Rea Road and Smoothie King at 9405 Bryant Farms Road.

Yafo and Jimmy John's, at 15105 John J. Delaney Drive and 9848 Rea Road, each scored 96.5. Open Rice at 9882 Rea Road scored 93.5.

In North Carolina, restaurants scoring 90 or above receive an A grade. A B grade covers 80–89.5, and permits are revoked for scores below 70. Super G Mart's Independence Boulevard address falls outside the Ballantyne area but is listed under the 28277 zip code in county records.

The county's Food and Facilities Sanitation Program permits more than 4,400 food service facilities and conducts more than 13,000 inspections each year. Residents can search all Mecklenburg County inspection scores at the state's public database.
