U.S. Rep. Tim Moore will make an announcement at a Pineville NC Chamber of Commerce event Tuesday, Sept. 8, at the AC Hotel Ballantyne Charlotte.

The chamber's evening gathering runs from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at 14819 Ballantyne Village Way. Attendees will also hear about what the chamber calls "the next phase of the organization," according to The Charlotte Weekly, which first listed the event.

The chamber has not disclosed what Moore plans to announce.

Moore, a Republican, represents North Carolina's 14th Congressional District. The district covers portions of Mecklenburg County, including parts of Charlotte and Pineville, along with all of Burke, Cleveland, Gaston and Rutherford counties. He took office in January 2025 after serving a decade as speaker of the North Carolina House of Representatives.

In Congress, Moore sits on the House Financial Services Committee and the House Budget Committee. His office announced more than $21 million in combined FEMA funding for Hurricane Helene recovery projects in western North Carolina, including Mecklenburg County, on Aug. 27 and Aug. 28, according to his congressional website.

The FEMA funding covered recovery work in Rutherford, Mecklenburg and Polk counties, including projects in Lake Lure and Chimney Rock.

The chamber also hosts its Monthly Coffee and Roundtable Discussion from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, at Hilton Garden Inn Charlotte Pineville, 425 Towne Centre Blvd., Pineville. That event also requires advance registration.
